Now, according to a research, 77 crore such bulbs are used in the country, due to which a lot of electricity is consumed, and which needs to be changed as soon as possible. EESL has set a target of 2019 to complete this project.



Under this scheme, about 30 crore LED bulbs have been distributed so far, due to which 15,846 crores have been saved. The Central Government has entered into a $ 220 million loan agreement with the World Bank to further India’s Energy Efficiency Program.
